This course is aimed at individuals that are involved in the transporting of a load by either pushing, pulling, putting down or lifting while in the workplace.
Aim of course:
To provide participants with the knowledge and skills to conduct Manual Handling tasks safely and to prevent injury.
To comply with current Health and Safety legislation, Safety Health and Welfare at Work (General App) Regulations 2007.
Course Contents:
Introduction
Legislation
Anatomy of the spine
Ergonomics
Risk Assessment
Safe lifting techniques
Practical assessment of lifting techniques
Each successful candidate will be awarded a certificate of training from Behan Safety Systems
Course Duration: 3 hours
Entry Requirements: No previous experience required
Maximum number of participants: 12
Valid for three years
