- Practice - Rolling a person on their side
- Practice - Moving a person up a bed
- Practice - How to assist a fallen individual
- Practice - How to use an electric hoist
Upon successful completion of this course participants will gain the skills and knowledge
necessary to:
- Recognise a load which is too heavy or awkward
- Explain their legal rights and responsibilities
- Understand the limitations of the spine and muscular system
- Conduct a patient handling risk assessment
- Lift and handle patients safely
- Understand correct lifting techniques
Course Duration: 6 Hours
Entry Requirements: No previous experience required
Maximum number of participants: 12
Successful candidates will receive a certificate in Patient Moving and Manual Handling from
Behan Safety Systems.
